Isanti County Unemployment stands at 13.3% for the month of February. This dreadful unemployment rate makes our City's success with opening of new businesses in Isanti all the more special.
Please keep in mind that 13.3% is the number for those that are eligible for unemployment.
The picture gets much worse when you consider the amount of formerly self-employed contractors, realtors, mortgage brokers and other businesses that have had to lock their doors and call it quits.
These folks do not qualify for unemployment benefits. So what is the real uneployment number, 20%? The scary part is the foreclosures and unemployment numbers seem to be picking up speed.
