Great News

The City of Isanti is one of only 14 communities in Minnesota to be awarded a COPS Grant. The total amount is $220,016.00 which will fund one existing Police Officer for 3 years salary and benefits. This is yet again another example of how well we have been bringing in outside resources.

This will help to replace a bit of our lost State dollars. Thanks to our Police Chief and staff that worked on this very competitive grant.

This is a great amazing gift for the city. It also must be stated, that when a city is run by excellent leadership, the city excels.

I completely agree! Our city has excellent leadership in all areas. We are also very fortunate to have such a wonderful and professional group of Police Officers working for our City. It is excellent news to hear that these men and woman who work so hard for us can rest assured that their jobs are safe. That is exactly the way it should be! CONGRATULATIONS CITY OF ISANTI AND IPD!! WELL DESERVED!!

I am especially happy that we will be able to maintain all of our Police Officers after working for years to build up the department to the level we are at.

That's a heckuva a deal for the city. Is $73,300 per year for salary and benefits what is paid to the typical Isanti City Police Officer?

The range of total cost for an Officer is lower 60K to lower 80k.

The police chief you have now is a complete idiot!!

Any particular reason? Usually people complain about me on here not City Staff. It is the Chief that wrote the grant that ensures a police officer and saves City Taxpayers over 200k.

Seems pretty good to me.
