Special Election Progress

The Special Election Ordinance is being prepared for next week's Council meeting.... We will also have language in there for an interim appointment. The Council voted last week to prepare for a special election to full the remaining 2 plus years of former Council Member Kolb's term.

Sorry to inform you, but if you address the teachers as you address the residence of Isanti in the newsletter, then I'm not surprised they have hired outside people. You seem to have a big head and think you are better than the people you are elected to serve. Talking down to people isn't a very good trait to have as a human. The comments regarding your opponent are plan out dirty politics, which is one of many reasons I refuse to vote for you or endorse you. Being a bully isn't going to get you very far in life and I hope you realize that sooner vs. later.

Well the School district had the Cambridge Mayor and Isanti Mayor welcome the teachers of the district back for the new school year. You may not like me but Cambridge's Mayor is quite nice and she is not doing a welcome anymore either.

I would like to know an example of how I talk down to the people I serve.

As for my opponents record it is what it is.... I did not create it nor did I go looking for it. It was brought to me and others by very concerned citizens of our City. I would hope he would be honest with the public and explain his arrest record so the voters do not find out only after the election.

I am curious what policy you disagree with or is it only you do not like me personally....

Well, well are you really going to let the people of Isanti choose Kolb's replacement? I would think you would rather stack the council in your favor. I will wait and see if you are a man of honor or not. Concerning what another writer has said, I experienced first hand you talking down to me. What is with the seating in the city council chambers? Why are they so high looking down on everyone. What a joke! I remember the old city hall where everyone was on the same level.

Well anonymous you sound quite uninformed. Before you make sure snide comments you may want to know the facts. In each of the previous 2 open seat experiences I was the only person to vote to go to special election and not appoint. I took this stand even though both people were ones I supported in the previous election. I am hopeful the special election ordinance will go through. I have not in the past nor will I in the future vote to appoint a peer on the Council for 2 years or more.

You would have to ask the previous majority about the height of the seats in the Council Chamber. That was before my time.

And it would be nice if you would identify yourself.... trying to answer an anonymous complaint from an anonymous person on an anonymous post is a bit difficult

Hey George wise up, look at how you answered the last question. You told the dude that he was uninformed. Does that not sound like you are talking down to him?Why do you think people are sounding off anonimously? They are concerned that you would send out your attack dogs (city code enforcement) to their house and write them up for some bogus infraction. You are a dangerous man that needs to stay home and not try to ruin this city.......

Again these post are from someone that does not want me in office and you want me to accept the premise of the post and not defend myself. I understand there are some that hate me to the point of wanting me gone regardless of policy.

Your comment that City Staff would lie or break the law is quite disrespectful of the professionals we have employed. Staff enforces ordinances that have been passed by the full Council and do not work for the Mayor or any single council member
