I just listened to the last city council meeting. What do you have against the Methodist church? Leave them alone!!!! Are you one of those who believe the country was not based on a Christian value?Shame,Shame on you!!!!
I don't know if I should laugh or cry.... They owe over $25,000 in taxes ... They proposed a 3 month payment plan we accepted the payment plan and we issued them their liquor license.... I laid out the argument of why they were in a unique situation and therefore should be approved... I advocated for them... Perhaps you can quote the lines you think were negative towards Methodist or any other denomination....
The reason they pay taxes is because they are running a for profit business and that portion of the facility is taxed
Did you notice how you started the response to the last comment? You continue to talk down to everyone who disagrees with you. You just don't respect the public! You kept saying during the meeting that you wanted to get it all on tape. What are you,Richard Nixon? They are just trying to conduct business,why are you standing in the way of their success?
It's a sad state of affairs when critics look at all things through their own eyes..... We have to do what's called a finding of facts to show the reasons why one case is different from another .... In this case we need to say why the recent purchase by a church was different than an existing business.... And again you have your facts terribly wrong ... I stood in the way of nothing... I was making the case for them to be approved and for their business to continue operations while ensuring all back taxes are paid... It's a win/win situation... It's recorded like everything we do in public meetings to ensure everyone has a chance to hear what is going on.... Again I hope you will actually quote something from the meeting proving your point... Your disdain for me is quite clear ....
