On September 29, 2012 at approximately 1605 hours the Isanti
Police Department received a call of a fight that was taking place in the east
parking lot of the Police Department.
As Officers’ were walking out of the Police Department they
heard a gunshot. Once outside a male
victim was found to have been shot in the face with handgun. The victim was conscious and subsequently
flown to Hennepin County Medical Center.
The incident appears to have started as a road rage incident
on MNTH 65. The suspect was taken into
custody without incident. The suspect
has been booked into the Isanti County Jail and is awaiting formal charges to
be filed by the Isanti County Attorney’s Office.
Isanti Police Department was assisted by the Isanti County
Sheriff’s Office, Cambridge Police Department, Isanti Fire Department and
Allina Ambulance.
