Election Results 2011

Lundeen 76

Streiff 60

These are the unofficial returns but with this low of a turnout and this margin I doubt it will change much... Lundeen will be sworn in at the first April meeting....

Way to go Steve we knew you could do it. I hope there will be some changes now that you got. You will do just fine. Congrats again. The person that you said was rude last night at the meeting had the right to speak his mind just like everyone else.

The rude person was given more chances to speak than anyone last night and he was not interrupted once... When I answered his accusations he tried interrupting me multiple times.... I think this is when the students he supervised on the school board would have been given a time out....

I am waiting to see a list of these expected changes... I keep hearing about all this change yet I have yet to see any specific policy proposed other then cowards threatening to take me out....

So please if someone could let me know what the great expectations are I would be very happy to hear it...

With Steve on board we have a real Isantian serving the people of this fine city! He is going to block the nonsense that is going on right now. Way to go voting on the stupid road project before Steve could block it. At this point in time no one in this town wants a large bill handed to them by the city. The roads can wait!!!

Well perhaps you missed the point that this area is already costing the city because the pipes are breaking.... sewage is backing up into peoples basements and this is at taxpayer expense.... and again read the posting please cause this item did not passed as I had written because there was no super majority so it will come back to the Council and Mr. Lundeen will be voting on this item and we will see the vote and if it fails again I hope the other side presents a plan to actually fix the problem...

Saying no to just say no does not ever fix a problem.... this project was postponed 3 years ago... we are on borrowed time to begin with...

Oh I almost forgot... I have lived in the City of Isanti nearly twice as long as Mr. Lundeen. Mr. Lundeen has lived in the County his whole life but that is different than being a resident of the City. Cities and Townships are completely different...

So anything other than the needed infrastructure repair that you think needs to be blocked.

76 votes and people are crowning this guy the next king of isanti? lets wait and see what happens in a real election next year. george has won in landslides 3 times people with like 60% or 70% of the votes!!! he always tells what he is doing in great detail and like george i have no idea what the list of great changes from the new messiah even is. i bet no one else does either. the only thing so far i can figure out is a group of people hate george so much they hope the new guy will cause him trouble. all george has done is be honest, cut taxes a ton, cut cost a ton and dedicated himself in a thankless job!!!

George: Just a little FYI for YOU regarding Steve~

Steve may have been a prior resident of the county, but in his HEART, the City Of Isanti has always been his home and now is. He was here WAY before you ever were! Where did you move to Isanti from exactly...how many Miles/Cities/Townships/Counties were you from Isanti before moving here? I am sure he was closer to Isanti in distance then you ever were!

If not for people like Steve or his Father, and many others Isanti would not be what it is today. FYI~ Malls, Schools, Churches, Housing Developments, etc. With out these people laying the grounds for this type of growth, you would have never been able to move to this Great Town Of Isanti and this once again was all done before YOU moved to town.

There is a group of people who do not reside in the actual City Of Isanti but on the out skirts who do consider Isanti as their town. Even though they live in the surrounding communities Isanti has always been their home since they were small children.

Good thing for you these people can not vote or run for Office in the City Of Isanti, as you would NOT be the with "Gavel" in hand Mayor acting like The Little Hitler Of Isanti!

Oh And that "yep" comment of yours...I mean really????!!! What an idiotic response coming from the "Mayor"

What happened to Must work and get along well with others?

My Congratulations To Steve!

The truly sad this some seem to think there is terrible relationship between myself and our newest Council Member.... We have talked many times before and after the election....

I am always curious why those that have lived in this area there whole lives feel they are more important then the vast majority that have moved her in the last 8 to 10 years. If we are to go with your oligarchic governing strategy then the families that originally founded the City like the Norelius and Oleson family should be the most important and powerful... Norelius by the way was farming in Wisconsin before he help found New Isanti...

The idea of the Isanti community is an interesting one... many feel they are apart of the City yet do not pay taxes to support our operations. The Citizens and Taxpayers of Isanti are the ones paying the bills for this community. That is who I represent and whose interest I must protect.

When I ran for Mayor the Council and Mayor at the time just voted to increase spending 40% and had approved developer deals that have cost this City Millions of dollars... That is what I inherited and have been cleaning up.

It is horrific to discount the tragedy of the tens of millions of people who died at the hands of Hitler and his Nazi party. When anyone uses this reference they should take a trip to the Holocaust Museum and beg for forgiveness.

Mayor Wimmer,

You are doing a great job. Please know there are a great number of tax paying citizens of the CITY of Isanti who support you. We really appreciate your efforts to clean up the wrong doings of the past.
Your utilization of the resources at hand weather it be the finances, land or personell is very impressive.
The exchange between the Township representative and yourself at the last meeting is prime example of how your calm demeaner enabled you both to come to the understanding that all the City of Isanti expects in compensations for services rendered. The Council and yourself could just as easily forced the annexation.
Keep up the hard work, keep your health and Familie's health wellfare at the top of your priority list. I wish you nothing but the best.
