KEEP THE 60-70 THOU THAT YOU WHERE PAYING HER AND PUT IN THE GENERAL FUND TO HELP OFFSET SOME OF THE CITY'S BUDGET.
My plan is to streamline the position for sure and fold the Clerk position into the City Administrator position... There are quite a number of task however that are required by state statute that will have to be done by another person... I hoping to eliminate the high level high cost position and by folding duties and bringing on a lower level to do the other task needed. This should save us $20k to $40k depending on how the duties are split and what the Council will approve.
We need to remember we have zero administration support staff. There are no assistants or other type staff you see at other cities our size. We are already extremely lean on the administration side which our repeated audits prove...
