I believe that if you look up the defintion of "blow hard" you will find that it describes someone who toots his/her own horn waaaaaaay too much.
Case in point:
"I was elected in 2004 to the Isanti City Council. In 2006 and 2008 I was elected/re-elected with 70% and 71% as Mayor of Isanti."
70% and 71% of what? The number of people eligible to vote or something else? And if it were 70%and 71% if of those who could vote, so what? Don't you know that Isanti has Scandinavian roots and we don't rub our victories into the faces of our opponents? Come on, George--be civil. After all, you're nothing more than a civil servant-----I hope.

That is funny.... you first try to belittle the winning percentage - it is there to show that the goals we set out are accepted by the vast majority of Isanti voters... then belittle that fact I present it and then belittle all public servants.

Scandinavians usually appreciate their public servants, for the record... I also think they are not afraid to speak their minds without hiding behind anonymous...

I am constantly amazed by the few people or one person that get some thrill out of trashing me on my blog as Anonymous. Public debate is good so lets have a debate about issues...

We enjoy the opportunity to see and talk/ask questions concerning out city and surrounding area on a close encounter with our Mayor.

He willing responds.

Thank you Ms. Remmers... I learn so much from the incredible seniors of our community. It is an honor to come speak and answer questions at Senior Dining. We have some good news for donations to Senior Dining from an excellent community organization...

My ancestors are from Africa and my neighbor is from Mexico. Do we not belong in your Scandinavian Isanti? Wake up the city has changed a lot and George represents all of us.

I never knew statement of fact was tooting your own horn. In fact, if I was new to Isanti or out of touch with the political atmosphere, I'd want to know that bit of information. Thankfully George likes to get fact out in the open for everyone to read.

I'm not sure what the point of the Scandinavian roots is. You could pretty much spread that out across MN.

How about some more facts then.

"Prior to the election of Ventura, 17 of the previous 18 Minnesota governors dating back to 1915 were either of full or partial Scandinavian ancestry." http://blog.lib.umn.edu/cspg/smartpolitics/2009/10/pathway_to_the_governors_mansi_2.php

I guess things change as the state evolves and the people need and want to make changes.

The problem is the good old boys do not like the FACT that George does not take their crap. He is our Mayor and is the best thing that ever happened to Isanti, live with it.

Anonymous do you rip every person running for office from all parties that constantly talk about how much money they raise and how many votes they get. National politics a landslide is 55% of the vote or so my democratic friends tell me.

The only thing that will make some angry people here happy is if George just goes away. I hope he is always our Mayor!
