Stolen sign spotted

One of my stolen signs was spotted at 1101 Flintwood, west of highway 23. It was damaged and had a circle and line drawn through it. I hope the people responsible are aware this is a crime. I will hand this over to the proper authorities. If the person or persons responsible will apologize we can leave it at that.

If you see any defaced signs please let me know..... george.wimmer@genesiswireless.us

why do these idiots do this. What are they going to prove. The more they do it the more attention it just brings to why you have to win. They need to get that if they just leave you alone they are helping themselves more. stupid people

I have no idea what someone thinks they can accomplish by stealing my signs. I just hope people will try to be civil and act accordingly.

I am prepared for all types of activities. In 2004 I had numerous signs stolen and damaged and I won by almost 20%.

We will win because our ideas will win. I am not sure what these people are against, my lower taxes and fees or the fact I want fair and transparent government.

Some people FEAR change. Keep charging, one sign damaged will help not hurt you

How can you call signs stolen when they are being placed in yards without permission.

Cowards are people who trespass on peoples properties to put up political signs without the homeowners permission. I aggree it is wrong to steal the signs, but I think we have better things to do with our tax dollars than sending police on a wild goose chase for a sign. Isanti county has bigger fish to fry!

The Sign stolen from two yards each had permission from the owner. If you believe differently you are wrong. The one sign that was run over then stolen and ended up in a yard two blocks away with graffiti on it was requested by the owner. This request was made in front of two other neighbors when I was talking to them.

If you think or were told differently you are wrong. I would welcome to discuss this with you, the original yard owner and the two separate neighbors that witness the request.

Please let me know when you would like to discuss this.

It is not a wild goose chase when the stolen sign is placed in a yard. If you think trespassing, theft and stifling political speech is not a crime than that is an issue.

I did not reiterate my comment on the police. If the person who stole the sign simply apologizes then there is no need to take this to the next level.

For the sign that was run over and vandalized, the homeowner was not asked to have the sign put in their yard and they did not give permission.

Anonymous, are you trying to say that the owner of the yard that the stolen sign ended up in did not request a stolen vandalized sign?

Or are you trying to say the yard it was stolen from did not give permission to have the sign put in the original yard?

Either way, if I take a car from your yard and park it in someone else's yard, that is still motor vehicle theft whether or not you gave permission for the car to be parked in your yard to begin with.

My tax money pays for the police force to serve and protect. What may seem minor a minor crime to you can be major crime for the person it happens to. Who determines what the bigger fish is? I would hope the police treat each crime as important.

Well if you are so sure then we should sit down with the home owner and the two witnesses from two different homes that heard her ask "where is my sign" Then I responded "I will bring it right over" she then smiled.

If for some reason she changed her mind then she could have asked me to come retrive my sign vs it being run over and vandalized then put into another yard.

That seems to be an odd and extreme resolution.

I am assuming you are discussing the original yard.

I can't believe how some people (adults?) act! Even if someone didn't give permission to have the sign in their yard--does that give them the right to ruin it? I live in the neighborhood where this incidence took place and it is embarrassing to know that I have neighbors who act like that! GROW-UP! It is fine to not like someone--but to do something so malicious--is unacceptable!! I have kids and they would know better than to do something like this...guess it just shows you how important it is to raise respectable citizens--no matter what the age!

Geez, talk about alot of wasted time talking about signs! Why don't we do something constructive instead?

You must have missed the extensive postings on the City Budget, Comp Plan, new City planner hire, Planning Commission meeting, Isanti Fall Music Festival and the Rum River Classic. I hope you will take the time to comment on these postings.

I find it ironic you commented on this and not on those. You just contradicted your own point. If you think this is a waste of time then you would not comment on it.

I hope the sign issue will no longer be an issue. I however had to set back up a few signs today that were purposely run over.

It just seems so silly to me that this is how some very few choose to strike out. Many Candidates will suffer the same fate. In 2004 the news paper had a picture of dozens of mine and others signs dumped in a ditch.

I love to debate those that disagree with me. We just need to keep this disagreement in the realm of ideas and debates not in physical acts of destruction or violence.
